Hacking Exposed: Live!
Is your ecommerce infrastructure safe from malicious attackers? In this presentation, Foundstone presents an overview of the techniques used by today's hackers to gain access to networks and critical data. We demonstrate a typical Hacker attack, exploiting well-known vulnerabilities. Then we show how the attacker leverages a single vulnerability on a web server to circumvent traditional security mechanisms. Finally, we identify opportunities to better secure the host and networks against these attacks. All demonstrations are performed on live machines for the audience to observe.
Investigating Computer Incidents
What do you do when confronted with a compromised Web server? How do you analyze an employee's computer for evidence of misuse? Will your technical investigations support criminal, civil, or disciplinary actions? This workshop details the practical steps necessary to respond to and resolve security incidents. The untrained system administrator, law enforcement officer, or computer security expert may accidentally destroy valuable evidence or fail to discover critical clues of unlawful or unauthorized activity. Foundstone experts demonstrate how and where to find the evidence left behind by unauthorized intruders and demonstrate how to conduct computer forensics and analysis in the real world. The seminar provides a detailed, technical methodology for investigating computer incidents.
Additional Seminar Topics:

- Web Based Hacking
- Hacking at the Network Layer
