Corey White - Director of Consulting
Foundstone Role
As Director of Consulting for Foundstone, Corey leads Foundstone’s Professional Services for the Western region. Corey mentors junior consultants, manages client relationships, assists with presales and post sales activities, and oversees all Western region projects—from kickoffs to closeout presentations to ensure that every project exceeds client expectations. Corey’s goal is to make the Foundstone consulting experience the best in the industry by continuing to develop innovations to advance Foundstone’s security consulting practices.
Experience
Corey has more than a decade of experience in computer security consulting. He has performed security assessment, security remediation, and strategic planning for a host of Fortune 500 companies. Corey’s primary experience is with firewalls, virtual private networks (VPN), secure network design and implementation, Microsoft® security, modem security, wireless networking and strategic security planning. His core competence is in conducting security assessments and creating strategy to help clients meet today’s secure network requirements for HIPAA, GLBA, DITSCAP, SB-1386 regulations and ISO-17799 best practices.
Prior to joining Foundstone, Corey worked for International Network Services (INS) as a security practice lead for the southwestern region. Corey’s years with INS gave him a solid foundation in computer networking and information security. At INS, he installed, configured, assessed, and designed secure computer networks.
Notable Accomplishments
Corey addressed security conferences on Microsoft security shortly after the Blaster Worm attacks. Corey has also been a presenter at the annual Bank Administration Institute Conference where he has updated bankers and auditors on the latest trends in security. He has been a contributor to Foundstone’s Ask the Expert series and is the author of the widely referenced white paper entitled “Implementing and Securing DNS on Windows”.

Corey has the following certifications: Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Cisco Network Associate (CCNA), National Security Agency Info-Security Assessment Methodology (NSA-IAM).
Professional Education
Corey holds a Bachelors in Business Administration (B.B.A.) majoring in computer information systems (CIS) from the University of Louisiana at Monroe (ULM).
